Camino de Santiago, here we come After eight weeks training on our hiking programme, John is leading a group of Traveller men on the Camino this September — walking together, staying sober and looking out for one another. The whole journey is being recorded and documented.

Group hikes

Trails around the Dublin and Wicklow mountains — Ticknock, Howth, Bray to Greystones and beyond. We walk at the pace of the group and always finish with tea and a chat.

Sea swims & dips

Cold-water dips along the coast, run with our friends at Blueballs Ireland — keeping men afloat since 2022. No heroics required — ankle-deep counts. The screaming is optional, the post-dip buzz is guaranteed.

Where you'll find us

For the record: Cara holds Mountain Skills 1 & 2, is REC 3 trained (Remote Emergency Care first aid), has Lowland Leader on the way, and is trained in breathwork and forest bathing — she is entirely safe leading a group solo. The map is just us slagging her.

Map legend Where the adventures happen Buried treasure (unconfirmed) Fairy fort — walk around, never through Merrow — wave back, keep hiking Dotted line — the way (per John)
